Tax Training Consultant
Neil.Insull@mhllp.co.uk
Neil lectures on broad range of tax areas but with a focus on taxes affecting UK corporates. He works increasingly with lawyers and with tax accountants in industry in developing tax courses that are geared towards considering the complexities and impact of modern tax legislation on corporate transactions. Neil is also involved in providing general tax updates for accountants in practice.
Neil says “MAS has for many years been respected by clients as a centre of excellence for professional training. It’s exciting to be part of a team that continually strives to deliver high quality training and always aims to exceed clients’ expectations.”
Neil trained as an accountant and qualified with Spicer & Oppenheim (now Deloitte) in 1990. He then spent the next 15 years specialising in corporate tax, the last eight working for the in-house tax departments of two large financial services groups in the City.
Neil “escaped” from the City in 2005 and joined FTC Kaplan for a year to cut his teeth on a new training career in tax before joining MAS to focus on CPD training.
Although a life-long Leeds United fan, Neil says that his recent move to Essex has given him the excuse (he says!) to support Colchester United. Neil’s also a fan of Bruce Springsteen and is careful to admit a growing interest in country music. Look out for the Stetson!
