Robert Mowbray

As managing director Robert is responsible for the business achieving its short term budgets while still developing and growing into a better business. Ensuring that everyone is doing with enthusiasm and skill what they have been asked to achieve. Robert does this by setting an example to the rest of the team as a trainer and delivering high quality training to demanding clients in a professional way.

Robert says "We continually strive for improvement in ourselves and in all areas of our business. I truly believe we provide our clients with the very best and feel almost evangelical about spreading the word to firms that we haven’t acted for yet. It will only be a matter of time!" Robert qualified as a chartered accountant in 1983 and is also a principal in MacIntyre Hudson LLP. He works with a large number of firms ranging from the small to the largest City and international firms providing training and consultancy support. Over the last 20 years he has devoted an increasing proportion of his time to the development and presentation of financial and management training courses for solicitors and other professionals. He is an industrial fellow of the Business School of Kingston University and is author of the books entitled "Maximising the Profitability of Law Firms" published by Oxford University Press and “Solicitors – An industry accounts and auditing guide” published by CCH.

Robert is currently responsible for writing the annual financial benchmarking report for the Law Management Section of the Law Society and has previously been voted Trainer of the year by the Legal Education and Training Group. A keen golfer who still likes to compete at a reasonable level. Has always followed rugby and likes to watch the Harlequins with his three daughters. Enjoys travelling, which is a major part of his work, and enjoys the restaurants and bars along the way.
